This edition offers a top-of-the-range whisky with a nose and a mouth specific to each of the proposed variations. It is a rare and "top of the range" edition made at the distillery in the cellar under the supervision of the Master Blender, Thierry Van Renterghem. All the bottles are filled and numbered by hand.

A TWO-STAGE MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The first step is aging. August 17th whisky is placed for 3 years, 5 years or 7 years in high quality oak casks or in casks that have contained first Port and then Cognac. The second stage is the finishing stage. The Whisky that we have obtained at the end of the desired ageing process is placed for one or two years in oak casks that have contained Marsala, Laphroaig, Monbazillac, Olorosso, Banyuls, Bourbon or Sauternes type alcohol.

We are directly immersed in the universe of Marsala with this side of sweet grapes and notes of oxidation. We find ourselves in the presence of a rather powerful and atypical taste.

A fatty taste with hints of dried fruit, it is both sweet and salty.

5 years of ageing in Porto/Cognac casks & 2 years of finishing in Monbazillac casks.
It is both fat and rich. Notion of flint which will tend to want to impose itself. A very present finish. An aftertaste of yellow fruits and honey/vanilla. Slight acidity.

A taste of spices, sherry and dry wood with a slightly bitter aftertaste of chocolate, coffee and orange. A syrupy set on a maceration of aromatic plants.

7 years ageing in Porto/Cognac casks & 1 year finishing in Banyuls casks
The aromas are relatively melted, the fruits stand out, but also the spices. Slight taste of prunes and dried apricots.

A spicy and woody note. A less syrupy taste, but fresher and juicier.

The palate is very sweet, with nice fresh and sweet fruits, like apple. Small taste of marzipan. Texture a little fat and creamy. Small notes of white pepper in the aftertaste.

7 years ageing in Porto/Cognac casks & 1 year finishing in Sauternes casks
The mouth is directly mellow and draws on the sweetness of a subtly sweet wine. Small notes of almonds and candied fruit with a hint of whisky at the end of the mouth which gives the finishing touch to this wine.

3 years ageing in oak barrels & 2 years finishing in Laphroaig barrels
Beautiful power, fat and beautiful notes of dried fruits with a saline touch. Notes at the same time acidulous, fuity and slightly vanilla.

Dry attack powerfully sweet, the palate mixes candied and roasted notes with honey, beeswax, white flowers, white or yellow fruits (apricot).
